atomichaggis Skrevet February 12, 2007 Rapporter Share Skrevet February 12, 2007 My days are being ruined by the ice out there, I haven't had a decent days fishing locally for at least 3 days, so I went for a little walk on the water this morning, just like jesus. I reckon there is about 3-5 inch in places... so how thick does it have to be before I can just go out and drill me a hole to fish in? MC85 Skrevet February 12, 2007 Rapporter Share Skrevet February 12, 2007 I recommend AT LEAST 10cm. Preferably 15+ cm`s. But be careful anyways. The sea-ice can be very unpredictable and dangerous if not treated with respect Svar på innlegget Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Davie Use safety spikes(ispigger) and flotation suit. Oskar I had My flotation suit on when I went on the ice but I only went in the shallow bit, maybe up to my chest deep before i chickened out and went back to land Just as well really cos I don't have some spikes.
