atomichaggis
The fjord is suddenly littered with crab pots and tangle nets etc. in the last couple of weeks or so does that mean its season? What is the season for these types of gear? Also isn't there a minimum depth for crab pots?
Havengel
Early autumn is the best time for crab. It's full of delicious roe and good and meaty. The season will probably last for a month or two, but may go on until winter. As far as I know there is no minimum depth for crab pots like there is for lobster pots. atomichaggis
So its only lobster pots that must be 25M or deeper?
Rønsingen
Kremt….. When the lobster is protected (01.01 – 01.10) Its a depth regulation on crab pots as you say. From the Swedish boarder to Varnes Fyr at Lista they should be at a minimum depth of 25 meters. In Rogaland, Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane 15 meters, and in Møre og Romsdal minimum 10 meters deep. If you have an escape way for the lobster then you can putt the pot where ewer you want
