ojnord Skrevet May 6, 2009 Rapporter Share Skrevet May 6, 2009 Some general guidelines and safety tips. SIT down in the boat when fishing, only one stands up at a time if you have to. STAY SAFE - get accurate wather forecast, and don't gamble on yours or your rescuers safety. KEEP WHITHIN your legal tourist fishing quota (per april 2010: a total of 15kg fillets and/or other fish products). It's the law, please respect it. STAY AWAY from aquaculture farms. It is illegal to fish closer than a radius of 100 meters near an aquaculture farm. LIVE BAITS are illegal! The consequence of continuous violation of these safety and legal boundaries for sound harvesting of the fishing resource, is potential full fishing ban for foreigners, and also most certainly an increased hostility from the coastal population. Please help us spread this information, tell your friends and country men that they need to comply. Not only because it's the law, but because the fish along the norwegian coast line is under a lot of pressure, and we want our children and their children to experience the joys of sports fishing as much as you do. I also want to add, for those who come here fishing in our fresh waters and rivers. Thoroughly clean your equipment when fishing between lakes and especially rivers. Many rivers have dedicated cleaning services to secure the quality of the river, find them and use them! Moving live fish between lakes or rivers is strictly prohibited! Best regards.
