englishfisherman Skrevet May 7, 2015 Rapporter Share Skrevet May 7, 2015 Hello, this is my first post so i thought i'd say a little bit about myself. I am English, and 18 years old and am a very keen fisherman. I fish in small rivers for brown trout/pike, chub, perch etc.. And am also a sea fisherman, mostly from the shore/rocks/beaches. I love to lure fish, but do sometimes use fresh baits. I have visited Norway before, the west coast, but only fished a little in the Sognefjord from the rocks. I caught mackerel, pollock, coalfish (saithe), and a cod, using metal lures. It is an amazing country! I will be around Haugesund in June for a week, and wondered if there is a chance of any sea trout, a fish i really want to catch. Also is a licence needed to fish in the Viksefjorde, it looks like the sea but perhaps classes as a lake? Also does anyone have any specific tips for the area? Thank you in advance, Stuart. Here are a few of my highlights from 2014! ; 3 Svar på innlegget Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
PeterSL Skrevet May 7, 2015 Rapporter Share Skrevet May 7, 2015 Hi Stuart, and welcome to the forum! I live in Bergen so I don't know much about what Haugesund has to offer. But I'm sure someone else on the forum would be glad to help. 1 Svar på innlegget Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
cral Skrevet May 8, 2015 Rapporter Share Skrevet May 8, 2015 Nice Sea bass!Viksefjorden is license free. All saltwater in Norway is. For sea trout in June the best time of the day is at night. Get out around 4 when the sun rise. For spots, I hope someone more familiar with the area will tell you. 1 Svar på innlegget Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Bjarne HS Skrevet May 8, 2015 Rapporter Share Skrevet May 8, 2015 (endret) Etnefjorden near the litle village called Etne, east of Haugesund, is a well known place for sea bass-fishing in the southwest of Norway. The same spot is also known for big seatrout. Skjoldafjorden/Grindafjorden east of Haugesund is also a well known fjord with a lot of good hot spots for sea trout fishing. Check out Våg, around Nes, Liosen, Grindeneset and Otertong (Otertangen). http://www.norgeskart.no/#11/-35471/6630300 Endret May 8, 2015 av Bjarne HS 1 Svar på innlegget Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
