  1. So you're looking for some spots in the Oslo region?

I've heard about some nice catches in Drøbaksundet. I've never tried this spot - but it might be worth a try?

I tried some spots on Jeløya this summer. I could recommend this spot as a starting point  Drive south to Moss, follow the signs to Jeløy. Straight ahead in the first roundabout, then make a right turn in the "Gimle" crossing (towards "Nes").

    Skitt fiske

Edit: Just keep in mind that the police always bring their sharp scissors -> made for cutting through plastic driver licenses . Drive carefully ;)

Thanks for that information ,i think i might just try Drøbaksundet its not to far away from me ,and sorry i forgot to say where i live its in the fjellhamar area .

    thank you very much :D

    thank you very much

i forgot to say does the fjord have much of a tidel movement, because i have notice the 2 times i have been fishing here the tide doesnt really move so much .

any tips on what to use for bait .

  2. Your Norwegian seems good and everything, but there's one thing you've got to learn right now!

"Tack" is Swedish and not Norwegian! The Norwegian word is "Takk"

yeah sorry ,i have a swedish girlfreind so i sometimes get mixed up .

Good luck tonight then. I'm a Liverpool man myself, og hope you thrash Man U, as I hope with everybody.

To keep this tread to it's point, in Norwegian:

"Lykke til i kveld, jeg er Liverpool fan og håper at dere knuser Man U, som jeg håper alle lag gjør"

    3-2 fe fam!!!!!!! lol

  3. The residence is for work as far as I know. It's a period based permit that allows you too work and live in the country for the period decided. As for your first point, in all counties that I know the rules for working permits is that you need an employer as your "sponsor". Thats why you need a confermation from you employer too get the tax card. But on the other side, do you REALLY want that? High taxes here

i have read on official uk and norwegian goverment web site that i do not need a residence / working permit until i have been here for more than 6 months ,if i got a job in that time all i had to do was go to the police staiton and register that i was working and living here then after six months i would have to apply for a residence permit ,all of which i have tried to do but to date nithing has changed since i moved here .

what i need is somebody to say step 1 you do this step 2 you do this and so on because i find the system here very confusing.

thanks all the same m8 :D

  4. hi all

i have been living here for 4 months now and had the chance of 2 jobs so far ,the first was in the first month i was here ,got offered a job but i needed to get a D number so i did the paper work and waited .one month past so i thought something must be wrong ,i called the place dealing with it and they had lost all my information (really mad ) so i went to aetat instead and they were great ,3 weeks later i had a d number called back the place i was going to work and because of the time it took to get my d number thay had taken on other people . :D

a few weeks past again and the same compony called me again offering me some work  all i had to do was get a tax card and that was it .this is where i started to get confused ,on going to your tax offices i was told i needed a letter of confermation from my employer saying he wanted me to work for him WHY !!!!!and that i had to apply for a residence permit all of which i was told could take another 2 -3 weeks

point 1 . why do i need conformation from an employer to get a tax card (do norwegians have to do this ?)

point 2 . why do i need to apply for a residence permit ? whats that got to do with working here ?

as far as i am aware norway is a partial member of the EU with the same working regulations which means i should have the freedom to work where i like within the EU without permits and i should be treated the same as a norwegian .

because of the rules and regulations i fear i have lost my second job allready .

if anybody knows the proper procedures and can help i wwould be very greatfull .

and if anybody has a job for me even better lol

  10. I guess the nearest lakes for you will be Lutvann and Nøklevann. Why not hire a canoe and do some trolling at Nøklevann ?

Else: It depens how far you are willing to walk or bicycle and do you have a car for example ? (Not really necessary in most cases)

And yes, the trout doesn't like a water temperature over 16 degrees Celsius, so fish deeply and likely from late in the evening to early morning.

ahhh!!! lutvann and nooklevann are really close to me ,i am very interested in hiring a canoe and doing some trolling but do you mean trolling lures ?

yeah we do have a car but my partner uses it nearly every day to goto her work but i do have a mountain bike so getting there wont be a problem, how deep do you think i should fish and will i have to add lead to my line to go deep (never trolled before complete novice )

    Mark

  11. Hey Mark. The fjord is hot, the fishing is slow but you should be able to catch some mackrell if you want to fish in the daytime. The problem however is that most places are crowded with people having a swim, bbq or tanning so my suggestion is too fish the early morning or evening. Another problem though is all the boats.

Howfar will you travel? You can fish in the narrow parts of the fjord where its more coldwater, about 32km south of Oslo you have many places to fish from the rocks or peers in Drøbak, the fjord is deep there with alot of current, but it also have nice places for your partner too have a swim. You can fish in the morning, have a stroll in the narrow backstreets with buatifull buildings and flowers, go to the aquarium and look at the fish in the harbour and eat some good food in one of the restauraunts. The Seahorse restaurant has th most awesome fishcakes in Norway. Then go to the park for a swim and a tan. Then you get a whole day out of it:) You can find the directions here:
