Took a short trip with Trønderflua today into hommelvik to fish a nazi plane wreck.... The idea is the most exciting part

Fished, small and light and 2 top fish were lange just shy of 3kg a piece. other than that was just usual suspects, knurr, hviting, hyse and sypike.

I would glue a plate of marine ply on and then screw the transducer... that way you can change or adjust the transducer without gluing it all again.

First trip out in the boat this year yesterday. Raising the engine had an awful result, boat was slower than ever so my range was drastically reduced to near shore. Weather was a bit crap too.

HDS5 was awesome... even tho I barely know how to operate the menus Located fish between 10 and 30m and caught all of them I think... all cod tho, nothing of great size but I filled the boat and subsequently the freezer.

Raising the motor was a disaster, it has never gone so slow Need to change it back to the original setup. HDS5 is awesome tho

Have seen them while freediving in the west around sandy areas. Small version was common where I used to live but never tried too catch them.
