Yep! I suppose Kolari is a good place to start from.
Kolari - Kautokeino should be about 3 hrs drive.
Does anybody know anything abut Chabardas jokka (sorry, don't know the exact spelling) near Kautokeino?

How far north is Lapland exactly? I'm going to Tromsø in may for some sea fishing... seems there is a bit of flyfishing to be had up that way too.
Most likely I will be taking car-train from Helsinki to Kolari, so I will be wondering about 10 hrs drive from Kolari.

Hi, thanks for the note!
I've been going to Norway for fly-fishing vacations for 4 years in a row now. And I've been always setting up the route and destinations by myself. So far I've been wondering around Glomma and Trysilelva, however this year I would like to go further up north - to Lapland.
When you pick a stream on the map, there are high chances that after half a day's walk though the swamps you end up looking at standing water (bad experience)
So far I've been advised to check river Lutaur near Adolfstrom. I think I'll also investigate some streams in around Kautokeino.

Hi,
My name is Ugnius, I'm a keen fly fisherman from Lithuania.
I'm searching for information on fly-fishing waters in Lapland.
This summer I will be visiting Lapland and would love to do some hiking-fishing trips. It's very hard to find such info on the net, so I hope that you guys, might help me
I would really appreciate if anyone could advise some interesting and more distant trout or grayling streams in Norway or Sweden.
Thanks a bunch & tight lines!

Just be careful - they say fly fishing is addictive - there's no way back
If you'd need some help, though, I could do some pressing in Lithuanian as well
