Ugnius Leimontas Skrevet February 25, 2008 Rapporter Share Skrevet February 25, 2008 Hi, My name is Ugnius, I'm a keen fly fisherman from Lithuania. I'm searching for information on fly-fishing waters in Lapland. This summer I will be visiting Lapland and would love to do some hiking-fishing trips. It's very hard to find such info on the net, so I hope that you guys, might help me I would really appreciate if anyone could advise some interesting and more distant trout or grayling streams in Norway or Sweden. Thanks a bunch & tight lines!

Ugnius Leimontas Skrevet February 25, 2008 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet February 25, 2008 Hi, thanks for the note! I've been going to Norway for fly-fishing vacations for 4 years in a row now. And I've been always setting up the route and destinations by myself. So far I've been wondering around Glomma and Trysilelva, however this year I would like to go further up north - to Lapland. When you pick a stream on the map, there are high chances that after half a day's walk though the swamps you end up looking at standing water (bad experience) So far I've been advised to check river Lutaur near Adolfstrom. I think I'll also investigate some streams in around Kautokeino.
atomichaggis Skrevet February 25, 2008 Rapporter Share Skrevet February 25, 2008 How far north is Lapland exactly? I'm going to Tromsø in may for some sea fishing... seems there is a bit of flyfishing to be had up that way too.

Most likely I will be taking car-train from Helsinki to Kolari, so I will be wondering about 10 hrs drive from Kolari.

Does anybody know anything abut Chabardas jokka (sorry, don't know the exact spelling) near Kautokeino?

PRH Skrevet March 1, 2008 Rapporter Share Skrevet March 1, 2008 I have Lithuanian friends and a Norwegian Mrs... I make no effort whatsoever... are You trying to make me look bad PRH? Yes, I'm trying my best. Think it's ok that lithuanian fishermen discover this excellent site to. There is a lot of flyfishermen over there, even if there is lack (not totally, but quite rear) of the "typical" flyfishing species like salmon, grayling, trout etc.
