your map is such a good idea and very good of you to share your experiences. if i may ask a silly question. You have the fish possible to catch at different spots then S, W Sp and F. Are these summer, winter, spring and Fall. forgive my ignorance.
keep the posts coming, it's good to know what is coming out. i hope to be back again in june and possibly august too
Hi! Yes thats correct :) Not That easy to figure out, But Its in the description of the map to :)

Yes, lokking at satelite photos is A good approach! Try to look for example: shallow waters with deep waters close by or relatively shallow waters with mixed seabed ("leopard-bottom'' we call it in norway. That is Ocean bed with A mix of sand, rocks and seaweed)
This is A link to a page containing a fishing map for Oslo fjord. With information about tons of places and what species you may expect to catch). Google translate might help you with the translation from Norwegian?

hi guys, well i tried to fish in march when i was there for a week but the water (as i was advised) was still mostly frozen .
it's very nice to see the various reports of some fish being caught now.
i am now hoping to visit again in early june so hopefully there will still be fish. any hints and tips for the time of year would be very welcome.
does anyone know if it's worth trying on the area around Fornebukta ? as this is very close to where i will stay.
good fishing and tight lines to all.
I fished the area around Lagmanshollmen last summer, a bit south of Fornebukta. Cought some smaller fish, so theres definately a chance id say.. But ill wait for reply from someone who knows what they are talking about to!

Hello!
I am spending 14 days in Norway beginning May 25, 2018. I will be flying into Oslo and traveling by car from there. I have a lot of experience fly fishing for rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout in other areas of the world. Can anyone give me some places to look into along with hatch patterns for early June?
Any tips are welcome!
Thank you!
Ben! Its Norway! You at least have to try for searun trout or some other saltwater species The Norweigan coast is in my opinion one of the most dramatic in the world.. Sea, fjords, mountains... Beautiful. Or are you mainly targeting freshwater trout?

That would depend mostly on winddirection. There is no solid ice there, but the wind can blow remains of broken ice into the bay. Yes, seatrout/ cod/ flounder would be your most likely catch.
Ok great thanks. YR says Norteastly winds, so i guess that would mean wind from land.. So hopefully no ice

Hei!
Will be in Oslo over the easter, i might have a chance to swing my flyrod in Paradisbukta.. Would that be possible,`Ice free? Chance on some seatrout or cod?
Thank you!

Hi dere!
I would like to do some baitfishing in the Oslofjord.. It looks real fun and relaxing... I got a Lawson Norwegian series 13' 30-80g paired with a Penn Conflict II 3000. Can that be used for some bottom baitfishing for cod and stuff? Will it work??
Thanks in advance
