advice please for near bergen from the shore

Hi everybody.

I'm new hear, and relatively new to sea fishing.

Just hoping I might bet a bit of advice from anybody with knowledge to share.

I'm going to be staying in this region for a week or two in june and will be bringing my Shimano exage 8/9ft, which i have been informed is suitable for more then just spining, and should be able to handle a bit of bait fishing on the bottom.

Just wondering if anybody could advise me about the fish i can expect both spining and bottom fishing in the region, what types of spinners, rigs and bait to use, and the strength of line i should take. As I said i'm quite new to sea fishing and don't really know all the lingo, so simple descriptions of rigs etc would be appreciated.

Sotra (Island just outside Bergen) has many god spots, f.example the streams under the bridges.

There are several local lads here, hopefully they can be more spesific.
