prosiri Skrevet April 3, 2011 Rapporter Share Skrevet April 3, 2011 Hi, I am new to Norway and most of all, new to fly fishing around here. I'd like to hear some advice from you. I have managed to google-translate most of your previous conversations and have gotten the notes. I have a 5# rod 8'6" long with 5# WF line and only a couple of pieces of 5x knotless leader. I am planing to start fishing sea trout in the fjord around Oslo so I am asking myself is my equipment good enough? What else do I need to get for start? What leader sizes do I need? Can I stay with 5x leader and change the tippets only? Are there any fishing excursions that I could join just to get to know the terrains around? Many thanks for your advices and I am looking forward to exchanging experiences with you here! Svar på innlegget Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
josteink Skrevet April 5, 2011 Rapporter Share Skrevet April 5, 2011 Hi, your rod and line will be just fine, of course youll cast longer with a #7 but that might no be very important. I use an intermediat line for my seatrout fishing, floating didnt work for me. There are som realy good article about seatrout fishing in the sea on this website. Cant help you with places to go since im not living around oslo, but others should know. Otherwise you could go to the http://www.friluftsetaten.oslo.kommune.no/kart/marka/kart_over_oslomarka/ and check out the bathing spots, these are normaly also good sea trout spots. Hope this helps, good luck! Svar på innlegget Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
